day two of breaking a bad habit

I haven’t posted in a while. For some reason, after that last post, I couldn’t bring myself to post about something that is basically nothing. It put things in perspective a little bit. Creating lists of things to do before I die and that sort of thing.

Number one on my list – STOP BITING YOUR NAILS.

I’ve tried to quit numerous times and have been successful every now then. I’ll last about three months with beautiful nails then one will break and suddenly I bite them all off. It’s digusting. I know. I always ask myself why the fuck I do it.

So with a purple rubber band around my wrist I am on day two. Any time I get the urge, I snap that band. I don’t do a tiny snap, that doesn’t deter anyone. I’m talking slingshot snap, okay? And it hurts. But it’s working so far.

  1. Good luck on stopping this habit. One thing that helped me break the habit of sucking my fingers was having aloe gel rubbed on my hands as a child. That taste will be so bitter that you won’t want to put your hands in your mouth again I guarantee. (If I can remember this at 28, it must have been horrible. LOL-Good Luck Again
